Words are easy but commitment is where love is.

An extra hour of sleep on a Saturday – spent instead making graphics for an NGO.

A half a day at the spa – spent instead mentoring a young groundup supporting seniors.

An hour to polish a client deck – spent instead helping young kids enjoy their first book.

A day that could have been used for rest – used instead to create a marketing campaign for an environmental NGO.

This is how we see love in action everyday at TheOneHourProject. It’s showing up even when it’s really really hard. It’s waking up extra early even after the toughest work week. It’s committing skills and talent even when it’s easier to say “not today”. It’s being present when it’s much easier to tune out.

In this month of love, we celebrate love in the language we know best – action. This month we explore spaces we saw love coming to life through presence and engagement; this month  we also ask ourselves questions before we commit with words so we can commit with actions and this February  we also proudly showcase the heart of TOHP – our volunteers as we turn the spotlight on one of our regulars.

They say “Actions speak louder than words” – to our volunteers, partner groundups and NGOS and partner businesses, allow us to say, we hear you loud and clear and we are grateful.  To everyone reading this, we hope the month of love is truly meaningful to you and that you see love in action every day.
