This year, BINHI has launched a special holiday initiative that not only brings joy but also the gift of literacy. Let’s take a closer look at how BINHI is positively impacting lives this holiday season and beyond.
iVolunTree Partnership
For the third consecutive year, BINHI has partnered with iVolunteer for their annual Christmas initiative, iVolunTree. This holiday initiative connects NGOs with generous donors to enhance their impact during the holiday season.
This year, BINHI is providing books as gifts to enrich the lives of its scholars. These books are not just presents; they foster a love for reading and continuous learning.
Within two months of the program, several students have already developed reading skills. BINHI expects to reach all 800 scholars this season, with donations exceeding initial targets—ensuring many children receive the gift of knowledge and joy.
Goals and Community Impact
BINHI aims to collect books for each of its scholars through the iVolunTree initiative. The foundation’s vision of keeping “every Filipino child in school and learning well” aligns perfectly with this program. By partnering with iVolunteer, BINHI connects with like-minded donors who share its belief in the transformative power of education. The goal is to distribute gifts and foster a culture of reading that can have lasting benefits on children’s educational journeys.
In the past, BINHI held a Secret Santa initiative where scholars shared their wishlists, and generous sponsors helped fulfill those wishes. This worked well when they had fewer sites. However, as their reach expanded, BINHI shifted to offering more meaningful gifts that better align with their mission. They are deeply grateful for the ongoing support from their donors, which has made this transition possible.
