Happy Mother’s Day!

The month of May is an ode to all Mothers, including our beloved Mother Earth!

We start the issue by sharing the inspiring story of Hyacinth Sia or Hy-c and her son Chace as they navigate hand-in-hand the challenges that come with his special needs. Mom Hy-c fosters her son’s talents by joining enriching events such as the Disability Expo by Project Inclusion. We also have equally wonderful partner-organizations who cater to individuals with  neurodevelopmental disabilities where you can sign-up to volunteer.

On the subject of volunteering, It’s Earth’s time to shine as we introduce organizations, including our new partner Ocean Purpose Project, that are keen in helping save the diminishing health of the environment.

And what’s a Mother’s Day issue without highlighting TheOneHourProject (TOHP) founder Madelene Ortega, in the third part of our series. Madelene shares how TOHP, a digital-first organization, collaborates with partners and programs to make a difference.

Just as mothers give us tender loving care, let’s reciprocate by volunteering an hour or two with TheOneHourProject and make a positive impact together.
