Chaola Nachampassak gives a one-on-one hands-on workshop and consultation at the Digital Marketing Changemakers Program.

Since 2021, TheOneHourProject (TOHP) has been promoting and supporting adhoc volunteering in Asia. An advocacy that intends and hopes to provide significant impact to society through its dedicated volunteers and digital superheroes who offer their time and skill to give back to their community and make a difference.

Digital marketing expert, Chaola Nachampassak is one of TOHP’s digital superheroes, contributing to build a society that cares.

Chaola Nachampassak, a seasoned digital marketing expert, with 18 years of experience, is one of TOHP’s digital superheroes. She is actively supporting non-profit organizations in their digital marketing journey, helping raise awareness for their advocacy and attracting more volunteers, sponsorships and donations.

She has been volunteering for TOHP for the past few months, finding it refreshing and inspiring to use her digital marketing skills to support non-profit organizations. Chaola shares, “As I’ve been reflecting on my next career move, I wanted to stay relevant while giving back to the community in supporting more meaningful causes.”

As a digital superhero, she offers consultations to various non-profit organizations, providing guidance on digital marketing strategies including digital planning, search engine optimization, social media, email marketing, CRM strategy and content development.

Chaola initially hesitated to take on digital marketing volunteer opportunities, preferring traditional volunteering activities such as cutting vegetables and packing meals, as a change of pace from her usual work. However, she struggled to find one that suited her schedule until she discovered TOHP. She was ecstatic about TOHP’s upskilling programs and activities to support its non-profit organization partners, as well as the flexible scheduling. “I realized that not only it allows me to work closely with the different communities according to my schedule, but also that digital marketing is a real challenge for most of these organizations”, Chaola narrates.

Last May 14, 2024, Chaola volunteered as a resource speaker at the Digital Marketing Changemakers Program, an initiative organized by TOHP in partnership with BAGUS Together, held in Singapore. She shared her wisdom and knowledge about digital planning to over 30 ground-up non-profit organizations supporting diverse advocacies with varied levels of digital marketing knowledge. A hands-on workshop was also facilitated to empower participants in their digital marketing journey, helping them reach a broader audience and increase awareness and contributions for their causes.

The event proved to be a learning experience for her, as she reflected, “I was worried about how I could bring value, but then realized that things that we, marketers, may consider as ‘easy’ or ‘basic’ might not be for some people who don’t work in this industry.” She was heartened knowing that she made a significant difference and aspires to contribute in building a better world as a digital superhero. She invites and encourages others to explore volunteering, emphasizing, “Any help is better than zero help. Don’t over think and just give it a try. Even with just one hour of your time, you can already make a significant impact in your community. I can assure you that you won’t regret it!”
